A life-changing taste at Lexi's healthy eatery (Modderfontein @lexiseatery)
“Eat real food and not too much” -Michael Pollan
It was a meat-free Monday and so I was wondering what to eat? I remembered that there is this beautiful restaurant that has colorful chandeliers and the overall ambiance was inviting. I once went there to buy some ice-creams for my kids. On that first visit, the patrons offered me the menu. As I was scanning through, I came across a variety of delicious meals…that’s how I got invited.
My second, coming…That yummy thought from seeing the menu replayed, most of the menu is plant-based. Plus I knew what I wanted already! So I ordered and drank activated charcoal and grapefruit juice first. Then followed by Bantam bowls as that was what my eyes were looking for on the menu. I ordered baby buddha! Chopped baby spinach, quinoa, chickpeas, hummus, red onion, grated carrots, tahini dressing & toasted omega seed mix. That was a whole lot of goodness in one bowl. I was blown. I tell you that I didn’t even miss eating meat on that day because my plate was full of proteins and I stayed fuller for the rest of the day…I’m planning a meat-free week for me only (my family would kill me). Besides, Lexis eatery is mostly vegan, and the fact that they are experts in what their doing makes me keep on going back for more.
