Black soybean is also known as kuromame in Japanese people. This is an amazing substitute for green tea. What's also good is that you can drink the tea on an empty stomach. No nausea feeling nor funny tasting! The beans are also edible after brewing them for tea as another brilliant idea to get the daily dose of fibre. Drinking black soybean tea daily is said to reduce the chances of getting sugar diabetes, prevent cancer, and lower blood sugar. When the drink is a norm, you start to seek and learn different methods of preparing the tea so that you are always convenient whenever you want a hot sip. Hint; It will take more or less three (3) weeks to start seeing the desired results.

Benefits

Weight control. black soybean has similar benefits to green tea, it improves metabolism and limits fat absorption by enhancing the rate at which fat is burned. The beans also contain isoflavones which are essential for weight loss and regulate digestion.

Source of Fibre. Black beans are rich in soluble fibre, which fights inflammation that cause belly fat accumulation. They are a fibre-packed power-house and keep you fuller for longer.

Anti-aging. Contain an antioxidant called anthocyanin which improves blood pressure, and blood flow and prevents the loss of collagen in the body. We all know that collagen helps with youthful looks by giving your skin a healthy and clear look. Collagen works as bone maintenance as well.

Blood sugar regulator. Stabilizes blood sugar levels and lowers cholesterol

Healthy digestion. High in fibre and promotes bowel movement

Eye health. Black soybeans have vitamin c which can reduce the risk of cataracts.

Heart health. When eaten most often it will reduce the risk of arteriosclerosis as the beans contain quercetin and saponins which can protect the heart.

Hormone regulator. Almost every woman has to take hormonal balance medication at a certain stage of life. Sometimes when you go on diets for a longer period, you end up with hormonal imbalance (I also had my turn). I used to take on fad diets that didn’t even give me lasting results but I’m better equipped now. Black soybean has isoflavones (plant-based oestrogen) that assist with weight loss and can also work as a hormone regulator. They work similarly with oestrogen within the body, helping to balance hormones like PMS and menopause.

So nutty and refreshing you can even drink it at night before bed…Make yours too!
