10 Impressive ways to lose belly fat

Let's iron this thing… It is either flat or bumpy and nobody wants to experience the bumpy side, things can turn out ugly. Yeah, especially after food indulgence! Remember that celebrity who once slept in her red carpet outfit because she couldn’t unzip the dress after the event? …yes, it was Jane Fonda (source: bustle.com). That instance is still happening to some trust me, fortunately, the dress didn’t break at the event. LOL.

On a serious note, tight clothes are depressing…especially if they were not designed to fit that way. The bulging belly trying to tell people it's there whilst the boobs are wrestling with the shirt buttons…It's not easy losing belly fat. As a Mom of 3, I give you my tried and tested ways to start working on that problem before it's no longer manageable.





1. Include fiber in your diet meals. fiber is good for water absorption and also speeds up food digestion.

2. Include protein in your meals. Protein also raises your metabolic rate. An A+ is that it helps you retain your muscle mass during weight loss…less sagging skin.

3. Breathe in and out, reduce stress levels. Stress causes bloating + overeating

4. Avoid eating sugary food. Even healthier sugars can to belly fat gain. Sugar contains fructose and is linked to several chronic illnesses.

5. Do cardio exercises. The simple and best way to do a cardio exercise if you are limited with time is to do skipping/ jumping rope at least several times a week. Cardio helps to burn calories quicker.

6. Cut carbs. Diets with fewer carbs daily really can help with belly fat loss. Avoid refined carbs and rather eat healthy carbs such as vegetables.

7. Track your food intake. Keeping track of what you ate and also using a body scale can help you know which food has spiked your kilograms.

8. Eat fish. Yummy, delicious, and easy to cook. You’ll notice I eat fish weekly, this is because it's just easy to digest + rich in omega 3 fatty oil. Fish oil can reduce belly fat and you can use supplements If you like.

9. Do Intemitent fasting. An eating pattern that cycles between periods of eating and fasting. One of our Mzansi’s gorgeous celeb, Sarah Langa once gave tips about flat belly maintenance, she swore by intermittent fasting.

10. Include apple cider vinegar. The first time I learned about apple cider vinegar, I thought about the burning sensation on my tongue (you have to dilute with water darling). And, wow! it works… 1 spoon a day can help you reduce belly fat.
